The NBC-affiliated television station KING-TV, virtual channel 5 (UHF digital channel 25), is licensed to Seattle, Washington, and also serves Tacoma. It is part of a duopoly with Everett-licensed independent station KONG, which is owned by McLean, Virginia-based Tegna Inc. (channel 16). The Home Plate Center in Seattle’s So Do district houses both stations’ studios, while KING 5 news is in the city’s Queen Anne neighborhood.
